Conradin Cathomen

Conradin Cathomen ( born June 2, 1959 in Laax ) is a retired Swiss ski racer.

A first international success came Cathomen by winning the silver medal in the downhill at the Junior European Championships 1976 in Gällivare. He developed into one of the best downhill skiers in the world and won in the 1982/83 season two World Cup races. That same winter he was Swiss champion in the downhill. The greatest success of his career, he celebrated at the 1982 World Cup in Schladming, when he surprisingly won the silver medal in the downhill. After 1987, he did not qualify for the downhill team at the 1987 World Championships in Crans Montana, he stepped back end of the season.

He was married to the pop singer Marianne Cathomen and since April 2005 divorced her. They have two children, Nico and Carina. Cathomen led to his specifications of the 1995-2002 DWS Eastern Region and works since 2006 as a partner in the company mas assets management services in Zurich.
