Life

My father left Constance, her mother and their two other daughters Natalie Talmadge and Norma Talmadge. Thus, the four women were found economically on his own. After her sister Norma had played from the year 1909 in movies and so was able to have success, Constance Talmadge also decided to become an actress. While Norma mainly focused on dramatic subjects, Constance Talmadge was occupied mainly in comedies.

In August 1915, the Talmadge family moved to Hollywood, where Constance was the first positive reviews for her performance in intolerance of director David Griffith. In the same year, the actress was the sister of film producer and later president of United Artists Joseph Schenck by his marriage to Norma. Through marriage between Buster Keaton and Natalie Talmadge the comedian was also Constance's brother in law.

Constance Talmadge appeared in no talkies and ended her career in 1929.
