Constantin Cândea

Candea Constantin (* December 15 1887 in Margineni, Bacau county, † March 4, 1971 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian chemist, who was a professor at the Polytechnic University of Timişoara.

Life

Candea Constantin graduated from the Lyceum " Prince Ferdinand " (now National Collegium " Ferdinand I") Bacau in 1907 and the Royal Bavarian Technical University of Munich (now the Technical University of Munich) in 1911. He later received a doctorate in chemistry.

Shortly after 1920 saw the foundation of the Polytechnic University of Timişoara taught Constantin Candea a the local chemistry lab.

From 1946 to 1947 Candea Constantin was rector of the Polytechnic University of Timişoara.

He was a corresponding member since 1935 and since 1936 a full member of the Romanian Academy of Sciences.

He was with Mary ( Antoniade ) Candea ( born October 2, 1889 in Galaţi, † 16 April 1974 in Bucharest ), teacher of French, married, who had studied in France and later founded the Pedagogical Lyceum "Queen Mary" in Ploiesti and has led.

It is located on the largest cemetery in Bucharest, the Bellu Cemetery, Section 4, buried.
