Constantino Teixeira

Constantino Teixeira dos Santos in 1978 was Prime Minister of Guinea- Bissau.

Political career

Teixeira was during the last until 1974 war of independence against Portugal, the Partido Africano da Indepencia as e Cabo Verde Guinea ( PAIGC ), and was one of the commanders at the " southern front " near the border with Guinea.

In independent Guinea -Bissau, he was Minister of the Interior. After the death of General Francisco Mendes in a car accident on July 7, 1978 he was temporarily succeeded him as Prime Minister before the Office on 28 September 1978 went to João Bernardo Vieira.
