Constriction

Constriction (from the late Latin constrictio ) means constriction.

In scientific parlance, the fishing method of constricting snakes is called constriction; also the name of Boa constrictor refers to this behavior. The constrictive movement of some species of snakes is a contraction of the body in the longitudinal direction similar to a concertina.

In the medical field constriction is the narrowing, usually morbid contraction of a blood vessel ( s vasoconstriction ), the bronchial system or a hollow organ. In contrast, the term " contraction " ( contraction ) a synonymous use is therefore usually wrong.
