Conveyor system

Conveyors or conveyor are machinery and equipment, which are used for the conveyance of materials to be conveyed. They can be on the nature of the conveyed divided into conveyors for unit loads (eg boxes ) and conveyors for bulk materials (eg coal ). Other classifications distinguish continuous and intermittent conveyor or conveyors for unit loads on the structural aspects.

In the mining industry is called the set of equipment used for the promotion of the conveyed material such as coal, ore, salt, oil, conveyors. The first of these, the actual funding ( elevators, arts, conveyors, etc. ) as well as related structures such as pits, tracks, winding towers, cages. In part conveyor system is also used as an alternative to the terms pit, mine or mine.

Survey

Against the background of logistical tasks seem sensible a classification by fields of application and according to the criterion of transport:

The following are typical representatives of each group are:

Continuous handling

Continuous conveyor continuously promote both bulk and general cargo. Also clocked assembly lines are counted as continuous conveyors. Continuous conveyors are divided into four main groups ( breakdown by Pfeifer, Kabisch Lautner: conveyor ):

  • Have slat conveyor as a supporting element instead of a tape rods, plates or boxes
  • Chain Conveyor
  • Scraper conveyor
  • Circular conveyor
  • Bucket ( bucket elevator, chain bucket elevator, pendulum bucket elevator )
  • Roller conveyor
  • Screw conveyor ( for the transport of bulk goods )
  • Vibratory conveyor: shaking chutes, vibrating conveyors
  • Slip
  • Roller and ball tracks ( roller conveyor, roller, wheel roller track ball track )
  • Pneumatic conveyors (Pneumatic trough, air cushion conveyor, air table )
  • Pneumatic tube systems
  • Hydraulic chute
  • Hydraulic tube conveyor

Intermittent conveyor

Discontinuous conveyors operate discontinuously because of a funding process is followed in each case an operation without load. When the conveyor and vehicle systems, further differentiation according to the overhead materials and floor- bound transport property can be made. Here are some typical representatives of each group:

  • Overhead crane
  • Gantry crane
  • Handcart
  • Fork lift truck ( " ant " )
  • Electric Pedestrian Pallet Stacker
  • Front Forklift
  • Reach Truck
  • Side loader
  • Tractor
  • Floor conveyor
  • Excavator
  • Hoists with or without a rope or chain
  • Wind
  • Roller conveyor
  • Powered pallet conveyor
  • Channel vehicle or shuttle
  • Automated guided vehicle system
  • Lifts
  • Mine hoists
  • Monorail and electric monorail
  • Pendulum cable cars
  • Trolley track
  • Power & Free
  • Rail conveyors
  • Roller conveyor
  • Belt conveyors
  • Chain conveyor
  • Underfloor drag chain conveyor

Other classifications

  • Continuous handling equipment, such as roller conveyor
  • Intermittent conveyor, eg forklifts
  • Overhead material conveying means, such as cranes, monorails, electric monorails
  • Floor-bound subsidies, such as truck
  • Funding with sheet material flow, such as cranes, forklifts
  • Funding with linear material flow, eg roller conveyor
  • Manually operated conveyor, such as hand truck, hand trolley
  • Mechanically operated funds, such as forklifts
  • Operator-controlled funds, including lift trucks
  • Computer-controlled funds, eg, automatic storage and retrieval system ( RGB), Automated Guided Vehicles
  • Railway carriage conveyor
  • Conveyor bridge
