Cooling down

Under cooldown (English: cooling, cool down ) is understood in the sport, the end of a training session, at which the circuit is to be shut down again. Cool down is the counterpart to the " Warm Up" - warming up.

Purpose

Cool down usually consists of loose running and stretching. Possibly use are simple exercises that appeal to the same muscles as the previous training, are yet is less stressed.

A cool-down is, like warming up to a -demanding workout. The body can then better prepare for the end of the load. The stretching ( stretching ) that supposedly promotes muscle regeneration is controversial. The cool down resulting in a reduction of muscle soreness.
