Sound of silence ( Copying Beethoven ) is an American film drama directed by Agnieszka Holland from the year 2006.

Action

The action takes place in the year 1824. Ludwig van Beethoven with the completion of his Symphony No. 9 in default whose premiere is imminent in a few days. Publisher Schlemmer sends him Anna Holtz as a copyist. Anna Holtz completed a project funded by her father to study music and lives in relationship with engineer Martin Bauer, who hopes his design of a bridge to win a major architectural competition.
