A hollow core bit machined like a hole saw an annular groove around the core of the material to be processed, usually concrete, masonry or rock to this then to remove as a whole.

Construction

The head of the hollow core drill is called a diamond drill bit, also industrial drilling crown ( IBK ). This consists of a fitting, a steel jacket and the diamond segmentation.
