Corfe Mullen

Corfe Mullen is a village in the southwest of Dorset in England. In 2001, there were 10,147 people.

General

The name comes from the old English " corf " which means as much as cut; cut through anything and the old French word " molin " what Mill means. The name stems from the old water mill on the River Stour.

Infrastructure

Corfe Mullen is close to the metropolitan area Bournemouth / Poole. By car you can reach Poole in about 15 minutes, and there is a direct bus to the line 11 which takes about 21 minutes. The village has two supermarkets, a post office, a doctor 's surgery and pharmacy, a hair salon and a shop selling household appliances and a gas station. There is also a library and a gym. Corfe Mullen has six churches. In Corfe Mullen are several schools.
