Cornelius Bundrage

Cornelius Bundrage ( born April 25, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American professional boxer and former world champion of the IBF light middleweight.

Bundrage played only twelve amateur fights before he became a professional in 1995 and his first 21 fights in a row won, including 13 by knockout. However, these opponents had rather the status of construction of opponents who posed no serious challenge. On May 6, 2005, he boxed against the undefeated Sechew Powell and lost after a rare double precipitation by TKO in round 1 On 10 February 2006, he lost against former IBF World Champion Steve Forbes on points and was also subject to the two-time world title challenger Joel Julio by TKO in round 8

On 13 December 2008 he defeated in Mannheim the undefeated ( 19-0 ) European champion Zaurbek Bajsangurow by TKO in round 5 On 27 June 2009 he boxed against the undefeated ( 27-0 ) later WBA champion Yuri Foreman. The battle remained without judgment, because Foreman was injured by an accidental head butt and no longer able to continue boxing.

On August 7, 2010, he secured by t.K.o. in round 5 against Cory Spinks, the IBF world championship belt in the light middleweight and defended him on June 25, 2011 compared Sechew Powell by points victory. On June 30, 2012, he won the rematch against Cory Spinks by TKO in round 7

On February 23, 2013, lost in his third title defense his IBF belt by point defeat to Ishe Smith.
