Corniche des Crêtes

The Corniche des Crètes is a quaint, narrow and winding coastal road from Cassis to La Ciotat on the French Mediterranean coast. It was opened to traffic in 1969. The route runs along the Falaises ( cliff ) up to the cap canaille ( 362 meters above sea level, the highest cliff in France ) and on to Grande Tête ( 399 m).

About a turnoff leads to the Semaphore, a built 328 meters above sea level signal station from the time of Napoleon.

The Corniche des Crètes offers views of the Mediterranean, including across to the Calanques of Cassis. Distance is about 15 kilometers long.
