Cornifesto

Cornifesto Tinto is a red grape variety. It is cultivated in northern Portugal in the areas of Dão, Douro, Beira Litoral, Beira Interior and Trás -os- Montes Alto. To a lesser extent it is also grown in South Africa. The variety of drives late and provides more light reds. Because of their deep dark color but is one of the varieties, although the less important, for the Port wine. It is a variety of the noble vine (Vitis vinifera ).
