Corniglio

Corniglio is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1973 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Parma, in Emilia -Romagna. The municipality is situated approximately 34 km south-southwest of Parma on Parma river and directly borders the province of Massa- Carrara. Parts of the community belong to the National Park of the Tuscan - Emilian Apennines.

History

For the first time a town in the municipality 894 is mentioned ( curtem de Cornialum in finibus Tusciae ). As the feudal community, with its villages to the bishop of Parma.
