Corrections Corporation of America

Corrections Corporation of America (CCA ) is an American company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee that specializes in the operation and management of private prisons.

The company currently operates over 60 hospitals in the U.S., of which 44 are owned by the company. In these institutions currently about 75,000 inmates are served by more than 17,000 employees. The company was founded in 1983 by Tom Beasley, Don Hutto and Robert Crants. In 1984 opened the first institution under the management of the CCA with the Houston Processing Center. Since then the company has developed into the largest U.S. service providers in the prison industry.
