Cortachy Castle

Cortachy Castle is a castellated mansion in armored Cortachy in the Scottish county of Angus, about four miles north of Kirriemuir. The present building of the 15th century emerged from an earlier building, which was owned by the Earls of Strathearn. 1473 it acquired the Clan Ogilvy and redesigned it in the 17th and 19th century to much. 1883 part of the building was destroyed by fire, but rebuilt extensively already in the next two years.

Cortachy Castle is a Category B building.
