Corvette Summer

Two hot guys on the Highway ( Original Title: Corvette Summer, alternatively The Hot One) is an American youth film from 1978, which was produced by the Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer Studios. He belongs to the genre of road movies. The film was made as a direct-to- video production. The title refers to the race at the end of the film.

Action

The car- crazy high school student Kenny Dantley rescues an old Corvette Stingray off the scrapheap. Together with his friends, he makes the cars as part of a school project back on track. Shortly after the unveiling of the Corvette is stolen in Van Nuys. Kenny heads straight to the search for the thieves who take him to Las Vegas. On his way he meets the prostitute Vanessa.

Kenny finds work in a car wash when he discovers one day his car. He follows him to a workshop where he has a confrontation with the owner Wayne Lowry before he is saved by Vanessa. Lowry informed Kenny's teacher, Ed McGrath, who then also travels to Las Vegas. While he talks to McGrath, Kenny learns that his teacher has organized the theft of the Corvette to lift themselves out of his financial problems. As McGrath Kenny propose to work in the workshop, he accepts. He earns good money, but wants to actually retrieve only his car.

When he repeated the Corvette, he frees Vanessa from prostitution, wins a race and returns with his recovered car - and Vanessa - to his school back.
