Cosmin Contra

Cosmin Marius " Gurita " Contra ( * December 15, 1975 in Timişoara, Timiş county ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach. The full-back played a total of 372 games in the Romanian Liga 1, Spanish Primera Liga, Italian Serie A and the English Premier League.

Playing career

Cosmin Contra began his career as a professional footballer with Politehnica Timişoara, where he was already at the age of 17 years to the first team squad and made his debut in the home game against UTA Arad in Divizia A on February 26, 1994.
