Features
Butterfly
The wingspan of the butterfly is 18 to 26 mm. The forewings have a light brownish to gray-brown color. On them run more nearly parallel to the hem brown transverse lines. Similar Species

Geographical distribution and occurrence
The species is distributed from North Africa over large parts of Europe to Russia. In the north, it occurs in the British Isles and southern Fennoscandia, in the south the area of distribution extends to the Pamir. Way of life
The nocturnal moths fly in up to four generations per year, with the first end of March and the beginning of October last was observed. Visit artificial light sources and bait.
