Côte Fleurie

As Côte Fleurie ( in German translated as Flower Coast ) is called a French coastal strip in the Pays d'Auge Calvados region of Basse -Normandie region. This is the English Channel between the mouth of the Seine and the Orne.

The name of the Côte Fleurie arose in the context of tourism marketing this coastal region to stand out over other attractive tourist coasts as the Côte d' Azur, the Alabaster Coast and the Emerald Coast and to develop their own profile.

The designation Côte Fleurie takes the characteristic feature of the Pays d'Auge, lush gardens and meadows. Characteristic of the region are frequent rainfall and rapid weather changes.

This coastal area with many hours of sunshine is formed by low cliffs, sand dunes and salt marshes.
