Countryside Alliance

The Countryside Alliance (abbreviated CA, German about: Alliance of country life ) is a British organization based in London, which advocates for issues that are related in their opinion with the British country life. This includes especially hunting and especially fuel and hunts with dogs to live animals, the use of firearms and fishing. The organization was founded on 10 July 1997 as the successor of three organizations: the British Field Sports Society, the Countryside Business Group and the Countryside Movement. The organization is divided into ten regional branches, which are domiciled in England or Wales. Chairman of the Countryside Alliance is the time the Labour MP Kate Hoey. In Scotland there is a Scottish Countryside Alliance, which pursues the same objectives.

The Countryside Alliance is aimed primarily against the restriction of hunting, in particular the prohibition of the hunt with packs of dogs on foxes and rabbits rush. These were forbidden by the Publications of the investigation results of the Burns Inquiry by the Hunting Act 2004. The Countryside Alliance has filed against this law, a number of court cases.
