County Hospital is a short film comedy from 1932 with the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy in the lead roles. The movie is in the German-speaking area under the titles Break a leg, hard eggs, and nuts, in the frenzy of the Rauschgiftes and Laurel and Hardy in the hospital known.

Action

Ollie is with a broken leg at the County Hospital, and has for a long time in bed. Nevertheless, he is very happy because he can really relax for the first time in his life. One day he receives a visit from his best friend Stan, of which he is but little enthusiasm. This gives him a bag full of nuts and hard- boiled eggs, as Chocolates were too expensive. As Ollie to be examined by his doctor, Stan raises the counterweight of Ollie's leg cast out of the window, so that the doctor also hanging out of the window and can be saved at the last moment. In this rescue a sister forgets a syringe with a strong sleeping pills on a chair. After Ollie is dismissed on account of the conduct of his friend, Stan accidentally sits down on the syringe and accompanied him to the exit of the hospital. There the syringe begins to take effect and he is tired. Together they get in the car and since Stan has two healthy legs, his job is to drive the two back home. However, he slept through the ride and ends up here between two trams.

Background

The film was released on 25 June 1932 by MGM. The production of Tonfilmes was in the hands of Hal Roach Studios, in their studios, many scenes of the movie were filmed. As a hospital served the city hall of Culver City, which also published two years later for the film Going Bye- Bye! was used.

The nurse with the baby and the nurse with the syringe, it could be the same actress who appeared with the two artists named " Estelle Ettere " and " Belle Hare " in the film, according to Internet Movie Database. In the film, but they are two different roles, one has black hair and the other blonde hair.
