County of Viborg and Nyslott

The Viborg och Nyslotts longer had a length on the eastern border of the Swedish Empire, which existed from 1634 to 1721.

The domination of the embattled for centuries between Russia and Sweden Area was only in 1617 died in peace of Stolbovo entirely to Sweden. The County was created in 1634 in the course of the work of Axel Oxenstierna administrative reform of parts of the landscapes of Karelia and Savo and exist as an administrative unit until 1721, when Sweden ceded a large part of the territory in the Treaty of Nystad to the Russian Empire.
