Courtney Atkinson

Courtney Atkinson ( born 1979 in Mackay ) is an Australian duathlete and triathlete.

Career

Courtney Atkinson running triathlon since 1997 and 2008, he competed at the Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2009 he was second in the team World Cup sprint distance on it.

He started mainly in Apply on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km cycling and 10 km running), even at longer distances until it goes to the start since 2013. In August 2013 he scored his first victory on the half Ironman distance ( Ironman 70.3: 1,9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running) in the Philippines.

Atkinson is married and lives with his wife and daughter in Gold Coast.
