Craig Wood (film editor)

Craig Wood ( * in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian cutter.

Life and career

Already with 19 years Craig Wood was an assistant editor at the documentation department of the public broadcaster the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. After a few commercials for the section of the Budweiser frogs advertising he received a 1996 Clio Awards, and music videos, including for Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue and Bjork, Wood landed then in film. Although 1989 was responsible for the cut at the Australian science fiction film Spirits of the Air, Gremlins of the Clouds, his film career did not begin until the late 1990s. With Gore Verbinski joins him for the short film The Ritual of 1996, a year-long collaboration. He cut ihne for all films, including The Mexican, Rango and all three Pirates -of -the- Caribbean movies.

Craig Wood is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
