Cristóbal de Villalpando

Cristóbal de Villalpando (* 1649 in Mexico City; † August 20, 1714 ) was a painter of the American neuspanischer Baroque.

De Villalpando, who in his work greatly influences Juan de Valdés Leal subject, painted several paintings and frescoes that can be seen today in several Mexican cathedrals, such as the Catedral de México in Mexico City, in the Catedral de Querétaro in Santiago de Querétaro and Puebla in the Catedral de Puebla.

He was since 1669 married to María de Mendoza, with whom he had four children together.
