Croatian National Bank

The Croatian National Bank ( Croatian: Hrvatska Narodna banka, HNB ) is the central bank of the Republic of Croatia.

The National Bank was formed in 1990 by the Act on the Croatian National Bank and the Croatian Parliament. It has its seat in Zagreb and is headed by the Governor ( guverner ) of the Bank. Since July 2000, Željko Rohatinski is governor of the HNB.

The main objectives of the Bank are to maintain price stability and to support the economic policy of the Croatian government. It manages the national currency Kuna, publishes issues banknotes and coins and holds the national currency reserves.
