Crommyonian Sow

The wild boar Phaia or the Krommyonische Sau is a beast of Greek mythology.

After the Libraries of Apollodorus Phaia comes from Typhon and Echidna. According to Strabo, the Calydonian boar comes from her.

Phaia terrorized the area around the village krommyon near Corinth, which was believed by Strabo to earlier times near the Megaris. To kill this sow was one of the tasks of Theseus.
