Crug Hywel

Crug Hywel (Welsh, the English name is Table Mountain, Table Mountain ) is a 451 m high, flattened hills on the southern edge of the Black Mountains in Wales in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It lies on the southern flank of the 701 m high Pen Cerrig - calch and overlooks the city located in the south of Crickhowell, from which it takes its name.

The hill is formed from Old Red Sandstone of the Devonian. The whole mass of rock form an outlier of Pen Cerrig - calch.

The summit of the hill consists of a kidney-shaped Iron Age Hill Fort with clearly visible earth and stone ramparts and a ditch lying between.
