Crystal habit

Under crystal habit is meant to each other, the size ratio of the different faces of a crystal. The crystal habit on the other hand refers to the arrangement of the crystal faces to each other.

There are three basic groups:

  • Isometric
  • Planar ( taflig )
  • Prismatic ( nadlig )

But many names are used as thick tabular, short columnar, stumpfsäulig, grainy, diced, radialfaserig, rhombohedral - pseudowürflig and many more.
