Ctislav Doseděl

Ctislav Doseděl (also Sláva Doseděl, born August 14, 1970 in Přerov, then Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech tennis player.

Career

Doseděl celebrated first on the second-rate Challenger Tour success. In individual, he won five titles in his career and three other in doubles. On the ATP Tour, he collected between 1995 and 1997 a total of three singles titles, all on clay court. He also starred in three other finals. In doubles, he was also able to win a title with his compatriot Pavel Vízner. At Grand Slam tournaments be quarter-finals in 1999 was the biggest success of his career at the U.S. Open. In addition, he was twice more in the second round at the French Open and Australian Open. His highest singles ranking in the world rankings, he reached on 10 October 1994 with position 24 in the double he was ranked 120 in March 1997.

In 2000 he took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney. He went up to the individual competition, where he scored in the opening round of the Chilean Nicolás Massú. Massú defeated Doseděl 6:2, 7:65.

Doseděl played between 1994 and 2000 a total of six games for the Czech Davis Cup team. He arrived at eleven individual lots for use, of which he won three and lost eight. All games he played in the World Group, two of them in the quarterfinals.

After the U.S. Open 2001, he ended his professional career.
