Cumming is a city in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is located in Forsyth County and has 5443 inhabitants. ( As of 2004)
Cumming, which was founded in 1834, is the county seat ( county seat ) of Forsyth County. It is not clear if the city name to either Colonel William Cumming of Augusta, a prominent lawyer, or to Sir Alexander Cumming of England, who came to America in 1729 and a Cherokee leader was declining.
