Cystic artery

The arteria cystica ( " gallbladder artery ") is an artery of the abdominal cavity in the area of the upper abdomen, which supplies the gall bladder and urinary bile duct with blood.

The cystic artery arises when people mostly from the right hepatic artery ( ramus dexter the hepatic artery ), rarely from the left hepatic artery or the gastroduodenal artery. Occasionally, the vessel is twisted. According to its origin, the artery cystica pulls above the cystic duct and is in its course several branches of these and the gallbladder neck from. At the gallbladder neck it usually divides into a superficial and deep branch.
