Czartowice
Schartowitz (Polish: Czartowice ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Schartowitz located in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location
Schartowitz located eight kilometers east of the parish seat Zülz, 16 kilometers northeast of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 32 kilometers south of the Opole voivodship ( Opole ).

History
The town was founded at the beginning of the 15th century. Since Schartowitz consisted of two spaced hamlets that were distributed to two gentlemen, this distinction was long regarded as Upper and Lower - Schartowitz. 1865 had low - Schartowitz, which was then written low - Czartowitz or Czartowitz was called II, 5 gardeners and 5 smallholdings. In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Czartowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 he is part of the powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 the German Schartowitz was in the community Zülz, plays, introduced as a second official language. On 24 November 2008, the City also received the official German place names Schartowitz.
