D. J. Kennington

DJ Kennington ( born July 15, 1977 in St. Thomas, Ontario ) is a Canadian racing driver. He is currently in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series active, in which he drives the Dodge Charger with the number 17. In addition, he participates in selected races of the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

In the years 2004 and 2005 he drove a part-time schedule in the USAR Hooters PROCUP Series. In 2006 he made ​​his debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Sam's Town 250 at the Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, Tennessee. He started the race in 23rd place and ended it with a lap down in 27th place.

In the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series season, he drove eight races, this was his best result in a 23 place in the Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway in Dover in the U.S. state of Delaware.

Mainly he drove in the 2007 season in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, where he won twice during the year. The first victory he picked up on 1 July 2007 at the Mopar 300 on the Barrie Speedway, his second victory on September 8, 2007 also at the Barrie Speedway. He also won the first pole position in the young history of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Even in the years 2008 and 2009 Kennington was active in the Canadian Tire Series. He finished third in 2008 and 2009, second place in the overall standings.
