Dååth
Daath (Hebrew: "Science ", see also Da'at ) is an American metal band from Atlanta. The band plays a mix of death, thrash and black metal. Thematically represent the Jewish mysticism and the Kabbalah represents a big impact but the band does not call himself as religious. The best-known member of the band is the drummer Kevin Talley, who has already played before with Misery Index, Dying Fetus and Chimaira.
History
The band was founded in 2003 as Dirtnap. The founding members were Eyal Levi, Mike Kameron and Sean Farber, who played already during his school years in various bands. All three later visited the Berkelee College of Music in Boston. Without making a conclusion, the three left the college to make music.
Was published in 2004, the self-financed debut album futility. Three years later, the second album The Hinderers via Roadrunner Records. For two songs video clips were filmed. The first video festival Mass Soul form emerged even before the signing of the contract and caught the attention of Roadrunner in the band. The second video for Subterfuge followed the end of February 2007.
In summer 2007 the band has played on the Ozzfest tour on the second stage.
In October 2007 the singer Sean Farber left the band. Sean Z. replaced him.
On April 20, 2009, the third studio album by the band, The Concealers, released in Europe via Century Media, although the band is on Roadrunner Records. On April 21, it was also on Century Media in North America to market. The album was produced by Jason Suecof and Mark Lewis (including Trivium, All That Remains, Devildriver ). So far, a single for the song The Worthless and a music video for the song Day Of Endless Light were published.
