Dabhoi

Dabhoi is a village in the Indian state of Gujarat, about 30 km south-east of Vadodara.

History

The medieval Indian city fortifications, of which four city gates are still preserved, were built in the 12th century under the Solanki rulers as irregular quadrilateral and destroyed by the Muslims partly in the 13th century. The doppeltorigen systems that allow the passage only in broken perpendicular axis, unite within its walls guard and side rooms. The ' Diamanttor ' is also flanked by two small, built into the walls of Hindu temples. Decorative jewelry spans the built in Kragbauweise, by a massive lintel spanned archways.
