Dąbrowa Chełmińska

Dąbrowa Chełmińska ( German before 1866 Dombrowken, 1866-1942 Damerau, 1942-1945 Kulmischdamerau ) is a village in the province Kujawy in powiat Bydgoski. The approximately 1,400 inhabitants city is the seat of the rural community Dąbrowa Chełmińska and historically a part of the Chelmno country.

History

For the first time, the village was mentioned in 1285 as Damerowe and was until 1505 the Prussian. After that he was under the name Dombrowka until 1772 part of Poland. After the First Partition of Poland, the place was then Prussia. After the Peace of Tilsit in July 1807 Dąbrowa part of the Duchy of Warsaw was Friedrich August III ..
