Dagmar Damková

Dagmar Damková ( born December 29, 1974 in Plzeň ) is a former Czech football referee and a language teacher.

Life

Dagmar Damková began playing football at the age of 14 years. At the age of 21, she decided to become a referee. She is the first woman to lead games in Czech soccer competitions for men. In October 2003, she served as the first woman to a championship game in the Gambrinus Liga, the top division in the Czech Republic. It was the match between Slovan Liberec and SK Dynamo České Budějovice, the u Nisy took place in Liberec in the stadium. 2006, she ran the final of the Czech Football Cup Men between Sparta Prague and Banik Ostrava and the final second leg of the UEFA Women's Cup between 1st FFC Frankfurt and 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and 2008 Beijing Games, she led the international tournament of the women, including the 2008 final between the U.S. and Brazil. In August 2007, she was employed as a referee at the World Cup of women in China. She directed the semi-finals between the Norwegian and the German national team. In 2009 she was called up for the European football championship of women of the same year in Finland and was nominated for the final between England and Germany.

After the World Cup 2011 Women Damková has announced their retirement as a referee and was then the first female member of the UEFA Referees Committee.
