Dagmar Käsling

Dagmar Kaesling (* February 15, 1947 in Magdeburg ), since September 14, 1972 married Lühnenschloß, is a German track and field athlete and Olympic champion who competed for East Germany.

The coaching at SC Magdeburg Kaesling improved in the team in the 4 x 400 - meter relay world record in early 1972 on 3:28,2 min, on 9 September in Munich 3:28,48 min and a day later to 3:22,95 min at the Olympic Games, thus was also the Olympic record. In 1969, she was second in the East German Indoor Championships 60m hurdles. At the 1972 Indoor Championships she won the 400m also the second place.

In the XX. 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, she won the team gold medal in the 4 x 400 - meter relay along with teammates Rita Kühne, Helga Seidler and Monika Zehrt. This season was in 1972 elected to the East German athletes Survey Team of the Year. In the 400 - meter race of the Olympic Games she placed seventh. In her competition time, she was 1.70 m tall and 59 kg.

Today Dagmar Lühnenschloß is a lecturer at the Institute of Sports Science at the Otto -von- Guericke- University of Magdeburg in the fields of exercise science and athletics. (2008 )
