Dagobert von Gerhardt

Scrooge by Gerhardt (* July 12, 1831 in Legnica (Silesia ) - today: Legnica in Poland, † February 24, 1910 in Potsdam ) was a Prussian general staff officer who became known as a writer under the pseudonym Gerhard (from) Amyntor.

Life

Dagobert of Gerhardt graduated from high school in Glogau, Breslau before he entered the Prussian Army in 1849 and 1850, was an officer. In 1864 he was severely wounded in the German -Danish War in the Diippel. 1867/68 he was a member of the General Staff Helmuth Karl Bernhard von Moltke in Berlin and took 1870/71 part in the campaign against France. Since 1874 he lived in Potsdam and turned to the literature.
