Daily Mail and General Trust plc ( DMGT short ) is one of the largest media companies in the UK. The Group holds interests in numerous newspapers, television and radio stations especially in the UK but also worldwide. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Group conducts its history back to 1896, in which the Daily Mail first appeared. The company DMGT itself was founded in 1922.
Mid-2006, sold DGMT the Study Group, a subsidiary of DMG Information, the Australian private equity group CHAMP.
