Dajny, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship
Dajny ( German Deunen ) is a town in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in northeastern Poland. The place belongs to Gmina Zalewo in powiat Iławski.
Geography
Dajny lies in the moraine landscape of the Upper Lands, about six kilometers north of Zalewo.
History
Deunen was founded by the Teutonic Order as Good a little open.
In the 19th century Deunen had the status of a Gutsbezirks. He was the District Koschainen affiliated Morag in 1874 in the district. As part of local government reform ( resolution of the estate districts in Prussia) Deunen was incorporated in 1928 in the rural community Sadlauken. The management membership Deunens as described remained until 1945 consist.
After integration into the Polish state Deunen was renamed Dajny and slammed the newly Gmina Zalewo. Today it is the seat of a Schulz Office to the still Sadławki heard.
