Dajt ( Albanian: DAJTI ) is a municipality in the district of Tirana in Albania. She joins east to the city of Tirana and covers the entire western flank of the mountain DAJTI ( 1613 m ), its southern eastern flank, in the north also two villages north of the river Tirana at the foot of Maja e Brarit and southern parts of the western flank of the Maya e Priskës ( 1353 m ) and some villages on the east side. This municipality is composed of the total of 13 villages linza, Shishtufina, Tujan, Brrar, Ferraj, Priska e Madhe, Surrel, Lanabregas, Shkalla, Qafëmolla, Darshen, Selba and Murth.

The fast-growing community has about 20,000 inhabitants. Yet even given a 2009 population of approximately 12,000 residents the community. While primarily the villages are still very rural east of Dajtis and Maja e Priskës and have only a weak infrastructure, in the areas on the outskirts of Tirana is a very strong building boom has begun. Here, in a previously sparsely populated area dozens originated from apartment blocks and in the lower part of linza a new center of the community. Around 58 % of residents in 2009 were at 12,000 inhabitants, but still engaged in agriculture.

The landscape, ascending from the level of Tirana with a height of approximately 100 m to 1613 m high summit of Dajtis is hilly to mountainous with her character very diverse, often forested and protected over wide areas as a national park. On the western slope of the Dajtis to around 1200 müa to find the remains of DAJTI Castle, which was built in the 4th century and allowed for control over vast areas. Another fortress is situated on the north-west foot of the mountain near the village of Tujan. This castle dates from around the same time and controlled the leading through the canyon of Tirana River Street to the east.
