Dale Launer

Dale Launer ( born 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American screenwriter, director and film producer.

Life

Dale Launer was the son of S. John Launer, who had a shop for electrical appliances. Launer took over at a young age his father's company and worked as a salesman. In 1980, he began writing theatrical texts and short stories, in which he included the characters of the people he met in the business. In one of his first scripts for the film The Incredible kidnapping the crazy Mrs. Stone, he built in the role of Judge Reinhold a the characteristics of his father. With this film, he also achieved his breakthrough as a writer. Since then he works as a director and film producer.
