Damendorf

Damendorf (Danish Damtorp ) is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Ladies village is 8 km southwest of Eckernförde, 17 km south-east of Schleswig, and 15 km north of Rendsburg in Hüttener Berge Nature Park. Southwest runs the Federal Highway 7 from Rendsburg Schleswig, north of State Road 76 from Schleswig to Eckernförde and southeast of the state road 203 from Rendsburg to Eckernförde.

History

Ladies village was first mentioned in 1518. The name derives from the village of Damo. The town was founded as a village street, but has evolved into a scattered village with scattered settlements in the area.
