Damián Ísmodes

Damián Diego Ismodes Saravia ( born March 10, 1989 in Lima) is a Peruvian football player.

Playing career

Association

In 2000 Damián Ismodes joined the youth department of the Peruvian top club Sporting Cristal. At age 16 he made his debut in the 2005 season under coach Jose del Solar in the first team. This year he won his only previous title when Sporting Cristal Peruvian champion. Even with 18 years had the attacking midfielder more than 40 professional games under his belt.

In January 2008, he joined the Spanish side Racing Santander. He signed a contract until the end of the 2012/13 season, as he wanted to prevail in the coming years in European football. An injury was with cause, that only on the final day of the season 2007/2008 he made his debut when he came off the bench against Osasuna in injury time. As he came in the following season only in the cup used, he was loaned during the winter break at SD Eibar. In the summer of 2009, he returned to his home to Sporting Cristal back to the first Peruvian league. Because of injuries Ismodes however, had always put back the forced breaks. So threw him in August 2010, a three-inch long crack in the thigh back.

National

Ismodes played for Peru at the U -17 and at the 2007 U-20 South American Championship. His international debut with the senior team, he played on 3 June 2007 compared Ecuador. In the Copa America 2007 in Venezuela, he came to use one. He also starred in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup. Overall, he played until mid- 2010, six internationals.
