Damián Villa

Damián Alejandro Villa Valadez ( born August 7, 1990 in Zamora, Mexico) is a Mexican Taekwondo. It starts in the weight class up to 58 kg.

Villa played his first international title fights at the Pan Championships 2008 in Caguas, however, different in his opening fight of. He recorded his biggest athletic success the following year in his first World Cup in Copenhagen. In the category up to 58 kilograms, he moved surprisingly the finals and won after a defeat against Joel Gonzalez the silver medal. Successfully ran for Villa also the year 2011. At the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, he fought his way to the finals before and won silver at the U.S. Olympic qualifying tournament in Santiago de Querétaro, he won the decisive battle for third place and won a quota place for the Olympics 2012 in London. Surprisingly, however, lost the Villa team internal qualification against Diego García de León and missed participation in the Games.
