Playing career
Toronto Raptors
After Stoudamire played for the University of Arizona, where he was elected to the 1994-95 Pac-10 Player of the Year, selected him in the NBA Draft 1995, the newly founded Toronto Raptors at the seventh position from. He scored on average 19 points and 9.3 assists in his first NBA season, and thus became the Rookie of the Year All- Rookie First elected ( as the smallest player in history who achieved this) and the NBA team. On 13 February 1998 Stoudamire was sent by the Raptors along with Walt Williams and Carlos Rogers to the Portland Trail Blazers, the, three draft picks and money received in return, Kenny Anderson, Alvin Williams, Gary Trent. In his native Portland Stoudamire had his athletic best time. As part of the Jail Blazers he reached the playoffs regularly with players like Rasheed Wallace, Isaiah Rider, Zach Randolph and Bonzi Wells. 2000 reached the Western Conference finals you. His best NBA game, he played on 14 January 2005 against the New Orleans Hornets. He hit eight triple and scored a total of one career and Blazers franchise record of 54 points. During his time in Portland Stoudamire scored 12.8 points and 5.7 assists per game. After the 2004/ 05 season, his contract ran out at the Blazers and he signed as a free agent on 5 August 2005 with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies Stoudamire Jason Williams should replace. After 27 games, he suffered an injury and fell the rest of the 2005-06 season from. 2006-07 Stoudamire started in 51 of 62 games and marked it 7.5 points and 4.8 assists. The following season the Grizzlies had with Mike Conley, Jr., a young and talented players in their squad, the Stoudamire made the role as starting point guard in dispute. San Antonio Spurs
Stoudamires last stop was the San Antonio Spurs. In these he came in the remaining 31 games of the 2007-08 season as a replacement for Tony Parker used.
Coaching career
During the 2010/2011 season Stoudamire worked as an assistant coach at his former team, the Memphis Grizzlies.
In 2011, he was assistant coach of the basketball teams of the University of Memphis. In May 2013, he joined as an assistant coach at his former University of Arizona.
