Dan Harrington

Dan " Action Dan " Harrington ( born December 6, 1945 in Cambridge, Massachusetts) is an American professional poker player.

Harrington studied at Suffolk University and MIT. The backgammon champion and U.S. chess champion ( he won in 1971 the championship of the state of Massachusetts, but is schachlich no longer active ) then worked as a bankruptcy executor until he started playing poker early 1980.

The most successful year was for the very conservative gambling Harrington in 1995, when his greatest success - cashed succeeded, for the Harrington a prize money of 1 million U.S. dollars - winning the Main Event of the World Series of Poker.
